Tennistrainer with A-license
Within the education for tennistrainer I passed for different applications, for example teaching wheelchairtennis and giving tennislessons to people with a mental disability.
My first internship was at L.T.C. Plaswijck. At this club I got acquainted with teaching tennis and experienced the fun of transfering the love for the game of tennis to other players.
A few years later, at 16, I started teaching at TV Alexanderstad as an independent trainer.
In my last year of school I did an internship at Tennisschool First Service. The first two years after graduating I worked for that Tennisschool for different clubs like Tennisclub RLTC in Ridderkerk, TV IJsclub Kralingen and Lommerijk.
In 2003 I started Tennisschool Ronald Thiel. Since then I give my lessons only for Tennisclub Alexanderstad, which is a friendly tenniclub with a lot of children and different kind of target groups.
I enjoy working with the different target groups. I give lessons to 5 year old kids, senior citizens and everything in between. Teaching wheelchairtennis and giving lessons to people with a mental disability is also a great challenge for me.
As a trainer I try to look and understand what the students motivations are. I adapt my lessons on that motivation. I really love playing and teaching tennis and try to pass this on to my pupils.
I pay a lot of attention to the technical and tactical tennis topics. Teaching a good technique is the bases from which the tennisplayer can develop him- or herself in the future. All the trainers on this club pay a lot of attention to the footwork during the lessons and the fitness training.
