I frequently follow seminars and applications to keep up with the developments within the world of tennistrainers, for example:

–          Tenniskids;

–          Mental and physical abilities;

–          Technical and tactical skills;

–          Talentscouting and -development;

–          Jungian Type Index;

–          Cardiotennis.

I started working as an assistent trainer at Alexandria ’66 (now TV Pharo) when I was 17. There I got acquainted with teaching tennis and experienced the fun of transfering the love for the game of tennis to other players. During my one-year stay in the United States of America I was assistent-coach for a highschool tennisteam. In 1999 I started as a parttime teacher for TV Alexanderstad.

Since 2005 I am one of the – fulltime – headcoaches with my own tennisschool, Tennis Academy Oever (T.A.O.) at TV Alexanderstad, a friendly tenniclub with a lot of children and different kind of target groups. In 2009 I was voted 2nd best trainer in The Netherlands.

In October 2010 I was headcoach for a tennis vacation on Mallorca.
Next to teaching tennis I work for the KNLTB as district umpire and international linejudge on different events, like the Tennis Classics in Apeldoorn and a Challenger tournament in Tel Aviv.

Trainer features:

I enjoy mixing divers factors of the tennisgame in my lessons. Since every person is different, it is a challenge to add these factors personally per student. I pay a lot of attention to the tactics by using the appropiate technique. Teaching a good technique is the bases from which the tennisplayer can develop him- or herself in the future. In addition I have a large interest in training the mental stability of players.

In 2009 at the Dutch Tennis Association coach of the year election, I was nominated and became runner-up.
